Focusing primarily on early modern and nineteenth-century non-fiction, the press produces carefully edited editions that respect original texts while improving legibility and accessibility for contemporary readers. Each volume is approached as a historical document—contextualized, annotated where appropriate, and presented with typographical and design restraint. Origins
Sabbath Hill Press was founded by Alistair Thorne in 2014 and began from a passion for uncovering forgotten voices in witchcraft and occult history. The press reformed in 2025 to bring its past limited edition titles back into print and digital.
